Dr. Kristen Haumschild

Dr. Kristen Haumschild graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1996 with a bachelor’s degree in Zoology. She went on to earn a master’s degree in Molecular Cell Biology in 1999. That same year, she began working in the veterinary field as an assistant and later earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from The Ohio State University in 2007.

With over 26 years of experience in the veterinary field, including 18 years as a DVM, Dr. Haumschild’s professional interests include urgent care, emergency medicine, metabolic imbalances, and surgery. She joined SCVEC in 2023.

Outside of work, Dr. DK enjoys traveling, spending time with her long-distance family in Hawaii, and scuba diving. She shares her home with four beloved dogs: Magnolia Pi, Milton Pierre, Shelby, and Lewis.
