Eric Lafreniere, DVM, graduated from the University of Montreal’s School of Veterinary Medicine in 1998. Upon graduation, he practiced emergency veterinary medicine in Hamilton, Ontario and in Portland, Oregon before moving to Ohio in 2001 to continue his career in emergency veterinary medicine. He has been a doctor on staff at SCVEC since 2001. His special interests include sonography, endoscopy, intensive care, and emergent surgical techniques. He insists upon comprehensive pain management and is an advocate for his patients and their families.
Dr. Lafreniere is a member of the Ohio Veterinary Medical Association, the American Veterinary Medical Association, and the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society.
Outside of veterinary medicine Dr. Lafreniere interests include competing in running events, scuba diving, traveling and spending time with his family.
